Every Saturday morning a weekly market is held for second-hand items, in the
area around Avenida Gabriel Alomar i Villalonga.
On Monday, Friday and Saturday mornings,a crafts market is held in the Plaza Mayor.
The Christmas Fair, where they sell all the typical Christmas products, is held at the same place.
On the 20th of January is the celebration of San Sebastian. He was proclaimed patron saint of Palma due the miraculous end of the plague of 1523 and 1524 ,with the arrival of an arm bone of St. Sebastian transported from Rhodes. For more than a week there are a variety of acts.
Festival del Estandarte, on the 31st of December . It commemorates the entry of the Catalan troops of Jaime I the Conqueror into the town. An event that ended the islamic domination. It is one of the oldest festivals in Europe, since its celebration dates back to the thirteenth century. The events take place in the Plaza de Cort, a religious ritual of thanksgiving and a civil ceremony, in presence of the royal flag.
Virgen de la Salud.Celebrated on the 8th of September with a solemn Mass in the church of San Miguel, which houses an old image of the Virgin Mary. Afterwards there is a children's festival,and music and popular dances.
Domingo del Angel, the first Sunday after Easter, when the citizens of Palma go on pilgrimage to the castle of Bellver.
La noche de San Juan, on the 24th of June. The popular Nit de Foc is celebrated in the Parque del Mar, with bonfires, fireworks and entertainment groups.

Romaria de San Bernardo, on the 19th of August. The traditional pilgrimage takes place from the Plaza de Cort, the citizens of Palma go up to the monastery of the Real, with a cane in the hand,where a Mass is celebrated before an evening with music and traditional dances.
La feria del deporte is held in late May at the sports complex of Son Moix.
De Güell a Lluch a Pie. A popular walk of 50 km, which takes place the first Sunday in August.
La noche del arte, a night when all the galleries and museums of the town open
their doors.
